I honour and remember the life of my father, William Harvard Bolt. Born on 18 March 1954, he left us far too early on 24 May 2024, at the age of 70. Dad had a profound love for the great outdoors, and some of my most cherished memories are of our family holidays, particularly caravan trips to the south of France. His enthusiasm for motoring and making model boats showcased his meticulous nature and zest for life. I recall countless afternoons spent in the garage, watching him work on his projects with patience and precision. A devoted family man, Dad treasured every moment with his loved ones, supporting us through every stage of our lives. His unwavering dedication to helping with our childhood passions and offering guidance in our careers was truly inspiring. Dad's love and support were the foundation of our successes and happiness today. Beyond his family, Dad’s commitment extended to his community and country, serving diligently in the Police for over 30 years. His career was marked by integrity, courage, and a deep sense of duty. Dad also had a love for DIY, reflecting his practical and resilient character. His interest in military activities and participation in cadet camps, air shows, and Navy days showcased his sense of patriotism and adventure. Whatever challenges life threw at him, especially in these last few years, Dad faced them with remarkable strength and resilience. His life, a tapestry of love, dedication, and adventure, leaves an incredible legacy. As we say goodbye, we remember how he enriched our lives and will deeply miss him. We will carry his memory with us always, honouring his legacy by striving to live with the same passion and commitment he exemplified. Rest peacefully, Dad. We love you. xx
